The Palouse area of SE Washington State is America's "Tuscany." Farmers for generations have plowed and planted these gentle rolling hills with various crops. The soil is rich and dark, the fields multiple shades of green. Canola crops can add a nice touch of yellow. When the sun sets or rises, the contours of the fields are deep with shadows. Old buildings are sometimes falling down. The entire area is a photographer's delight.
